Putting Plumsted families first.
Putting Plumsted families first.
“Putting Plumsted Families First” includes working together to keep everyone safe, healthy and economically stable. Since 2020, this has included COVID-19, and high inflation that is taking its toll on families as well as our small business community. Working together, we'll get through it. #workingtogether
I’m excited about the opportunity to continue serving the residents of Plumsted Township. Thanks for stopping by to learn more about my priorities of Communication, Safety, Preservation, and Integrity.
“Bob and Kristen Bowen care fiercely for the people around them, unlike anything I’ve ever seen or experienced. That fierce care comes with genuine listening ears. I can boldly say that our family has been strengthened because of their care and counsel. Plumsted residents made an excellent choice when they elected Bob to the Township Committee.”

Increasing the level of communication between our township and its residents is vital to creating an engaged, vibrant community. I’m a communicator who listens and links people to resources and solutions. I’m committed to providing residents with the information you need through face-to-face conversations, a robust township website, email, print, and social media interactions.
Safety takes many forms––from keeping a watchful eye on our neighborhoods to supporting local law enforcement, and ensuring construction zones and drinking water are safe. I believe in proactive rather than reactive leadership. Let’s keep our families safe and healthy by promptly addressing concerns and issues.
I’m a champion of land preservation and value the history and character of our community. I also understand some change is inevitable and can be beneficial. I believe we can successfully navigate change with thoughtful decision making and clear communication.
My 94-year-old father continues to teach me the importance of integrity. In his words, it’s about making honorable choices when no one is watching. I commit to continue making honorable choices with the best interest of our families and our community in mind.

My response to being labeled, and the risks we take when we label others.
In 2023, Plumsted Township celebrates its 247th birthday. Following two years of the pandemic, many local businesses are dealing with the highest inflation in decades. In an effort to encourage our community to support our local merchants by shopping and procuring services locally, particularly during this construction season, I’m delighted to sponsor the “New Egypt is Open for Business” campaign.
